About Us, Acknowledgements

The Van Egmond collection represents the efforts of many individuals, first among them Dr. Coralee Van Egmond who assembled its contents over many decades. Special thanks and acknowledgment also must go to those experts in the study of antiquities who assisted in dating and describing in detail each item. Mr. Phil Jones, Mr. Mikkel Pedersen and the late Professor Donald Zauche each contributed in major and very positive ways to the accurate cataloging of the widely varied items in the collection. All of these exceptional individuals have generously volunteered their time in this effort.

Thanks and acknowledgement also goes out to Dr. Renee Kovacs for her interpretation of cuneiform inscriptions on numerous key cylinder seals and tablets.

Thanks are also due to the members of the Persian Society of Antiques and Collectables and the Persian Numismatic Group who regularly provided detailed attributions of the various Sassanian coins in the collection. Special thanks are also due to Mabood Maghsoudlou, a leading member of both of these important resource groups.
